Author Guidelines

International Journal of Green Management and Business Studies (IJGMBS)
This guide outlines the structure, formatting, and citation requirements for submitting manuscripts to IJGMBS.

Structure of the article:

Article length: Between 3500 and 8000 words maximum, including notes and bibliography.

The text needs to be typed in Word doc.

Checklist of Manuscript and Submission (Very Important Items): In particular, the following must be addressed and met the requirements and guidelines: 

1. Abstract

  • Length: 150–250 words
  • Content: Briefly summarize the purpose, methodology, main findings, and contributions.
  • Keywords: Include 4–6 keywords (in alphabetical order) after the abstract.

Example:

This study investigates the role of green innovation in improving the sustainable performance of SMEs in Southeast Asia. Using a mixed-methods approach, the findings reveal a strong correlation between eco-innovation practices and long-term competitiveness. The study contributes to the literature on green business practices and provides strategic recommendations for SMEs seeking sustainability-driven growth.

 2. Introduction

  • Introduce the research problem and its significance.
  • Provide clear research objectives and questions.
  • Briefly highlight the context and relevance to green management and business studies.
  • End with a summary of the paper structure.

3. Literature Review

  • Review relevant and recent scholarly literature.
  • Identify gaps, debates, and theoretical perspectives.
  • Clearly articulate how your study builds upon or diverges from existing work.

 4. Methodology

  • Describe the research design (qualitative, quantitative, or mixed methods).
  • Specify data sources, sample size, instruments, and data collection procedures.
  • Explain the analytical techniques used (e.g., regression, thematic analysis).
  • Ensure ethical considerations are mentioned where applicable.

5. Empirical Findings and Analysis

  • Present the results clearly, using tables, figures, and statistical evidence as appropriate.
  • Interpret findings in relation to your research questions and hypotheses.
  • Discuss patterns, contradictions, or surprises in the data.
  • Compare your findings with prior studies where relevant.

 6. Conclusion and Recommendations

  • Summarize key findings and their implications for theory and practice.
  • Highlight contributions to green management and sustainable business.
  • Provide practical recommendations for stakeholders (e.g., businesses, policymakers).
  • Acknowledge study limitations and suggest directions for future research.

7. References

Use APA 7th Edition Style for all in-text citations and reference list entries.

Formatting Guidelines

  • File Format: Microsoft Word (docx)
  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt.
  • Spacing: Double-spaced
  • Margins: 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides
  • Referencing Style: APA 7th Edition
  • Figures and Tables: Insert close to where they are discussed; label and number clearly.

Submission Process

  • Submit the full manuscript via the journal’s online submission system

Please note that your manuscript will be reviewed and will not publish your paper if does not comply with the following instructions:
1. Template instructions such as paper length, margins, and fonts embedding, title, authors and their affiliations, abstract, introduction, conclusions, References … 
2. The plagiarism is higher than 15%
3. Manuscript has been ‘spell checked’ and ‘grammar checked’
4. Check for the number of self-citation (preferably less than 3) and we invite you to refer
5. All list of references must be cited in the body text and are listed in bibliography section and all figures and tables must be cited in the text and before they can be inserted in the body text
6. Caption of tables should be above the table and must be in the same page of the table.
7. Caption of figures should be below the figure and must be in the same page of the figure.
8. Check the type of references used and avoid use of Wikipedia references, etc.
9. Make sure that at least one third of all references are in the last 10 years.
10. Acknowledgements: Please list those who provided help during the research (e.g., providing language help, writing assistance, proofreading the article, etc.).

Article Processing Charge (APC)

The International Journal of Green Management and Business Studies (IJGMBS) operates as an open-access journal, ensuring that all published research is freely and permanently accessible online to the public without subscription barriers. To support the costs associated with editorial processing, peer review, typesetting, and online hosting, authors are required to pay an Article Processing Charge (APC) upon acceptance of their manuscript.

The current APC for publishing in IJGMBS is [USD 150]. This fee is payable only after the manuscript has successfully passed peer review and has been accepted for publication.

What the APC Covers:

  • Copyediting and formatting
  • Digital object identifier (DOI) registration
  • Permanent archiving and indexing services
  • Open-access hosting on the journal’s website

Waivers and Discounts:

IJGMBS may offer partial or full APC waivers to authors from low-income countries or in cases of financial hardship. Authors should contact the editorial office at the time of submission to request a waiver, providing relevant justification.
